I personally recommend that Mick MacKenzie be re-elected. It has been my honor and great pleasure as the executive director of Animal Allies to get to know and work with Councilor Mick MacKenzie.
Mick has been at the forefront of the project to bring a new animal shelter to Superior for many years. His perseverance and patience has paid off as the new shelter is about to be built. He has taken on and supported this task not only for the well-being of the animals, but also, importantly, he is an advocate for the benefits and the pride this project will bring to the people of Superior. Mick has demonstrated to me that he deeply cares about his constituents and his city, always putting others’ needs before his own.
He was recently elected to serve on the board of directors of Animal Allies and is an effective representative of Superior. In my dealings with Mick, he has been honest, intelligent, forthright and dependable. To me, those are the perfect qualities for a city councilor.
Rick Sailstad,
Duluth
