Mick MacKenzie for the past four years has served the residents of the 9th District (Billings Park) by having a strong commitment to address their concerns. As a city councilor, he has actively worked to resolve citizens’ concerns and to achieve solutions to these issues.

For example, Mick worked with other councilors and concerned citizens to develop a modern animal shelter. This was done by developing a plan to combine the aging ARF animal shelter and the Douglas County animal shelter. In the near future, a new shelter will be built.

Another example of Mr. MacKenzie’s achievement for the residents of the 9th District is his work to resolve their basement flooding and high water problems occurring there.

As a member of the city’s Human Resources Committee, Mr. MacKenzie worked with all sides in disputes coming before the HRC to ensure fairness to all concerned.

Mick MacKenzie has earned the right to represent the voters in the 9th District for another two years.

James Mattson,

Poplar
