Education: graduate Duluth Central High School 1967; Bachelor of Arts in speech pathology/audiology from UMD; Master of Arts degree in communicative disorders from UMD; and 2010 graduate of Superior/Douglas County leadership class.

Government/Civic experience and organizations: Superior school board member for 3½ years; Friends of Superior Public Library president; vice chairwoman of the Port Cities Woman of the Year Luncheon board; Superior Optimist Club president; DSSO Chorus; Superior Singers; Downbeats member; Top Hats Dancers; Douglas County Historical Society; Clef Society member; former member of Superior Federation of Teachers; former member of Wisconsin Speech & Hearing Association; and church greeter.
