ANTIGO, Wis. (AP) — A former elementary school principal has pleaded not guilty to drug charges in what prosecutors say was a marijuana distribution ring in Antigo and Merrill schools.

Forty-seven-year-old John Lund, of Antigo, faces seven felony charges, including possessing and manufacturing marijuana with intent to deliver it and maintaining a drug trafficking place.

Lund was also the Antigo High School head football coach. WSAW-TV says he made a brief appearance in Langlade County Circuit Court Monday where he entered the pleas. Lund has resigned his positions.

Eleven others are charged in connection with the drug investigation.
