Fish fry
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 4315 E. Third St., Superior, is serving its annual Fish Fry Dinners 4:30-7 p.m. each Friday during Lent. The menu includes fried or baked fish, mashed or baked potato, green beans, coleslaw, roll, coffee, milk, juice, and dessert. Adults are $10, children are $5 and pre-school children are free. Take-out available. The church is handicap accessible.
Rummage sale
The Financial Peace University students at Bayside Baptist Church hold a rummage sale 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, 3915 N. 16th St. Lunch and refreshments available. Students will use proceeds to help dump their debt.
BBQ Rib Feast
United Presbyterian Church hosts a BBQ Rib Feast 4-7 p.m. at the church, 229 N. 28th St. E. The meal features barbecued pork ribs, homemade baked beans, coleslaw, cornmeal muffins, dill and beet pickles, Philly apple cake and beverages. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-10 and children under age 4 eat free.
Financial peace
Zion Lutheran Church hosts a series of Financial Peace University classes beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church, 2202 E. Second St. Each lesson is followed by group discussion that provides accountability and encouragement. Topics include saving for emergencies, budgeting, relationships and money, and getting out of debt. Participants do need to purchase a kit to participate.
