VIROQUA, Wis. (AP) — New sexual assault charges are filed against a western Wisconsin police chief, who is already facing similar charges.
Readstown Police Chief Shay Larson was charged Monday with second-degree sexual assault and intimidation of a victim in Vernon County.
He was charged Thursday with eight counts including misconduct in office, fourth degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct.
WXOW-TV reports the new allegations came to light last week during testimony at Larson's first appearance. Sheriff's investigator Matt Sutton testified that Larson inappropriately touched a 14-year-old boy several times while he was doing community service work.
The complaint claims Larson threatened the boy if he told anyone.
The boy came forward after seeing news reports of Larson's arrest. No attorney is listed in online court records for Shay.
