Updated: Onalaska man dies in Bayfield County snowmobile accident

An Onalaska, Wis., man died Friday in Bayfield County from injuries from an apparent snowmobile accident.

An Onalaska, Wis., man died Friday in Bayfield County from injuries from an apparent snowmobile accident.

Bayfield County 911 received word of the accident about 4 a.m. Friday, according to Chief Deputy Dan Clark of the county Sheriff's Office. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, about a quarter-mile off Touve Road in the Town of Port Wing on Snowmobile Trail 1. When officials arrived, they found that the snowmobiler had suffered traumatic head injuries and was dead.

The victim of the crash was Brad Snyder, 37.

The Wisconsin DNR is investigating.
