FOREST CITY, Iowa — Waldorf College head golf coach Mark Clouse has announced the signing of Gabe Dinkel, a senior from Lake Nebagamon.
At Northwestern High School, Dinkel participated in golf, football and basketball. He has participated in the junior golf program of northwest Wisconsin and has consistently been a medalist. He has been a three-time all-conference player and was named the runner-up for Heart O’ North Conference Golfer of the Year twice. Dinkel is also a two-time state tournament participant.
“What attracted me most to recruit Gabe for our golf program is that he is very coachable,” Clouse said. “He has demonstrated an ability to play in adverse weather conditions, which has helped him develop a strong mental game and great attitude. Gabe has played a nice schedule of tournaments in the summer and has shown that he is motivated to continue developing his game.
“We are confident that Gabe will bring these same attributes to Waldorf College and make a significant impact on our golf program.”
