During the festival, which is free and open to the public, each school’s band or orchestra will perform before a panel of adjudicators while students from other schools listen in as part of their own learning experience.

The festival will draw instrumental ensembles from a number of area schools, including Ashland High School, Bayfield High School, Bayfield Middle School, Drummond High School, Drummond Middle School, Northwestern High School, Mellon High School, and South Shore High School. Michael Hintzman, band director from Northwestern High School will be serving as the festival manager.
