A series of meetings to begin planning the future of Douglas County begins today.
A series of meetings to begin planning the future of Douglas County begins today.
Leadership Superior is taking on the Community Assessment Program to try to plan for the growth expected as companies announce hundreds of new jobs in Superior.
The public is welcome to weigh in during any of the sessions.
Some of the meetings have changed since last week’s publication of the schedule. The new schedule follows:
Today
7:30-8:30 a.m., breakfast, BID office 8:45-9:50 a.m., Development Team, BID office
10-11:05 a.m., Tour Business Center, travel by van to Barker’s Island
11:45 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Rotary, Barker’s Island
1 p.m., travel to library
2:15-3:20 p.m., open invitation, Superior library
3:30-4:35 p.m., Arts Community, Superior library
5-6 p.m., multi-generation, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church
6 p.m., Dinner, to be announced
Thursday
7-8 a.m., breakfast, Perkins
8:30-10:50 a.m. Middle school (team one), High school (team two)
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., WITC (team one), WITC Senior Center (team two)
12:30 p.m., lunch, to be announced
Prepare for Community meeting
5 p.m., Community meeting, Vintage Italian Pizza, 1201 Tower Ave.
During the community meeting the assessment panel will report on the listening sessions.
Pizza will be provided.
