Spartan gymnastics team ends season at sectionals

The Superior High School gymnasts wrapped up their team competition on Feb. 24 at the WIAA sectional meet at Stevens Point.

Only the top two teams from each sectional advance to state, and as a team Superior placed seventh. Stevens Point and Eau Claire Memorial/North claimed the top two placed to advance from the Stevens Point sectional.

Giselle Sziron, who took fifth on floor, advanced to the state meet as an individual for the Spartans. She competes today at Wisconsin Rapids.
