OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (AP) — Milwaukee Electric Tool plans to expand its presence in Olive Branch with construction of a new, 600,000-square-foot distribution facility.

The Commercial Appeal reports the heavy-duty portable electric power tool and accessory manufacturer based in Wisconsin has had a longtime presence inside the city with a distribution center.

The Milwaukee Electric project, which represents an $8 million investment, will create 25 new jobs. The number of people the company employs now in Olive Branch was not immediately available.

Mayor Sam Rikard said Wednesday Olive Branch's contribution will be $40,000 in the form of a public road.
