Dorfman, Bergum serve as February Student Rotarians

Morgan Dorfman and Jack Bergum, seniors at Superior High School, have been selected Student Rotarians for the month of February by the Superior Rotary Club.

Morgan Dorfman and Jack Bergum, seniors at Superior High School, have been selected Student Rotarians for the month of February by the Superior Rotary Club.

Dorfman is a member of the National Honor Society and serves as the vice president. She is also a member of Pledge Makers and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and participates in Forensics and the Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program. Dorfman plans to study communications and journalism in college next fall and may attend St. Thomas University. She is the daughter of Heidi Misfeldt and Jeffrey Dorfman.

Bergum is a member of the National Honor Society, FBLA, Senior Mentors, and participates in the Harvard Model U.N. program and the Quiz Bowl. He is also a member of the Spartan hockey team, the football team, and the track and field team. Bergum plans to study pre-law in the fall and continue his studies at law school. He is the son of Kelly and Kent Bergum.

During the school year, Student Rotarians attend Rotary meetings and provide club members with opportunities to learn about high school programs and activities as well as the accomplishments and concerns of Superior youth. Each year the Superior Rotary Club awards two scholarships to students graduating from Superior High School. Information is available from school counselors.
