“It was busy,” Community Policing Officer Bonnie Johnson said of the Superior Police Department’s first “Coffee with a Cop” session.
There were guest appearances by Police Chief Charles LaGesse, Capt. Matt Markon and Sgt. Mark McGillis during the two-hour event. Citizens brought up a number of traffic and crosswalk issues, Johnson said. Others offered their support, asking how they can help the department.
Lenore DePyper of Superior said she just stopped in to talk.
“I loved it,” she said. “I’m a people person.”
Johnson said the department plans to hold Coffee with a Cop sessions every six weeks. For information, call Johnson at (715) 395-7401.
