2 hikers rescued from La Crosse bluffs

LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) — Firefighters rescued two hikers from the bluffs in La Crosse Wednesday night.
Fire officials say the two were hiking along the bluffs when it became too dark for them to find their way down. Firefighters used spotlights to light the face of the bluff and found the two after a search. WEAU-TV says the two were helped down a steep slope until they reached a safe area and were able to walk out on their own.
