ALBANY -- Vladimir Zharkov scored two goals and Keith Kinkaid made 27 saves as the Albany Devils overcame a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Binghamton Senators 4-2 Sunday in front of 3,502 at Times Union Center.
The Devils, winning for the fifth time in six games, scored three second-period goals to erase a 2-0 deficit.
Former Superior Spartan Mike Sislo got Albany on the board at 4:55, taking a drop pass from Joe Whitney and snapping a shot past former Devils goalie Mike McKenna. It was Sislo's first goal since Jan. 20 and first at home since Dec. 2.
Binghamton handed Albany three successive power plays in a five-minute span, and the Devils capitailized on the third to tie the game. Whitney took the initial shot, which McKenna stopped, but Nathan Perkovich got the rebound and shoveled the puck to Steve Zalewski for a backhander tally.
Zharkov gave the Devils the lead at 16:52. Brad Mills partially fanned on a shot attempt, but the puck went to Zharkov, whose shot slipped past the goal post just before McKenna's right skate was able to block it.
Zharkov iced the game with an empty-net goal with 4.5 seconds to play.
Binghamton opened the scoring at 7:01 as Pat Cannone, using teammate David Kzlurzynski as a screen, fired a shot in from the top of the right face-off circle.
Mark Borowlecki made it 2-0 with 4:13 to play in the first. Keith Kinkaid blocked Borowlecki's shot but couldn't corral the puck, which went airborne and fell behind the goalie.
