Ivory Jones poured in 20 points and Tony (Bubs) Watson and Jake Griffith each added 10 to lead the UW-Superior Yellowjackets past the UW-La Crosse Indians 59-56. The win improved the UWS records to 3-11 in the Wisconsin State University Conference and 8-17 overall. UWLC falls to 7-6 and 15-9. (1980)

The Northwestern Tigers girls’ basketball team defeated Hayward 49-32. Joy Longville scored 20 points to take scoring honors for the winners. (1981)
