Bank files for foreclosure against Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home

National Bank of Commerce has filed a civil suit against Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home Inc., seeking foreclosure of six different properties to cover a trio of loans that have defaulted.

National Bank of Commerce has filed a civil suit against Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home Inc., seeking foreclosure of six different properties to cover a trio of loans that have defaulted.

The summons and complaint were filed Friday in Douglas County Circuit Court.

According to the complaint: Each of the parcels, including the funeral home itself at 1528 Ogden Ave., were used as security under a complex loan arrangement that included three notes and 12 mortgages. Other parcels listed in the filing were 4389 E. Milcheski Road and 4472 E. Copenhaugen Road in the town of Summit, and 2218 Missouri Ave., 1609-1611 N. 16th St., and 1522 Ogden Ave. in Superior.

Also listed as defendants in the foreclosure action are Hegstrom Family Funeral Homes Inc., Judith C. Hegstrom, Paul M. Hegstrom Jr., LVNV Funding LLC and Steinhaus Supply Service Inc.

They have 20 days to reply to or contest the summons.
