Radzak, Schlacks named student Rotarians for January
Rachel Radzak and Laura Schlacks, seniors at Superior High School, were selected as Student Rotarians for January by the Superior Rotary Club.
Rachel Radzak and Laura Schlacks, seniors at Superior High School, were selected as Student Rotarians for January by the Superior Rotary Club.
Radzak is a member of the National Honor Society, FLBA, Pledgemakers, and DECA, and participates in the Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program. She is also associated with Caryn Model and Talent Management. Radzak plans to study interior design at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She is the daughter of Roberta and David Radzak.
Schlacks is a member of the National Honor Society and Mock Trial team, and is a senior mentor. She is captain of the SHS figure skating team and member of the girls’ soccer team. In addition, she participates in the Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program and is a member of the Superior Figure Skating Club. Next fall, Schlacks plans to attend either Boston College or the University of Notre Dame. She is the daughter of Deborah and Eric Schlacks.
During the school year, Student Rotarians attend Rotary meetings and provide club members with opportunities to learn about high school programs and activities as well as the accomplishments and concerns of Superior youth. Each year the Superior Rotary Club awards two scholarships to students graduating from Superior High School. Information is available from school counselors.
