The Friends ‘n’ Neighbors group meets 9:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Hawthorne Assembly of God. Everyone is welcome. Bring your craft project and enjoy fellowship, food and fun together.
Financial peace
Stop worrying about money and start your journey to financial peace when Bayside Baptist Church, 3915 N. 16th St., hosts a 13-week financial training course 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The course runs each Wednesday beginning Jan. 18. This DVD seminar is taught by Dave Ramsey, who will help you learn how to make wise financial decisions based on Scripture. There will also be a small-group discussion each week to help apply and reinforce the principles taught during the video presentation. Course and material cost is $100 per family. Nursery and programs for children and youth through eighth grade are available on site. Join us at 6 p.m. for dinner before the program.
