SCCU donates to food shelves, Clothing Closet
In keeping with the Credit Union tradition of service and in the spirit of member helping member, Superior Choice Credit Union is donating nearly $12,000 to community food shelves.
In keeping with the Credit Union tradition of service and in the spirit of member helping member, Superior Choice Credit Union is donating nearly $12,000 to community food shelves. The year 2011 remained financially challenging for many, and as a means to further serve and give thanks our communities, SCCU has decided to donate fifty cents per member to local food shelves.
In addition, SCCU also donated $1 for each reopened Christmas Club savings account in 2011. The total of $594 was donated to the Clothing Closet, an organization which assists low-income students by providing warm winter clothing.
Superior Choice Credit Union has been proudly serving the needs of the Northland since 1932. It is a full-service financial institution with other branches located in Superior, Hermantown, Mellen and Ashland.
