Running to the new year

The Superior Douglas County Family YMCA sponsored the Frozen Feet Fun Run and other New Year’s Eve festivities on Saturday. The two-mile race had more than 100 runners. There was also a half-mile Tootsie Trot for children.

Evan Walpole a student at Superior High School was the overall winner with a time of 10-minutes, 0.15 seconds.2

Amy Flessert was the fastest women in the field, finishing with a time of 13:09.77.

The event also featured a health fair and the day concluded with a family party including a hockey puck dive in our pool.

All monies raised went to the debt reduction campaign and were matched by RJS Companies.
