Duluth: After 11 Years as executive director of Men as Peacemakers, Frank Jewell is stepping aside to focus on his work as county commissioner. Ed Heisler was hired as the new executive director, and started Jan. 3. Men as Peacemakers hold an open house 5-8 p.m. to introduce Heisler and recognize Jewell’s contributions.

Duluth: The National Association of Retired & Veteran Railway Employees meeting begins at 1 p.m. at the West Duluth American Legion Clubrooms. Included in the regular business will be a legislative report by National Legislative Committeeman Glen Nelson, membership reports and an attendance drawing.
