Cookie sales

St. Francis Xavier Church, 2316 E. 4th St., invites you to its first Cookie Stroll, starting at 9 a.m. until the cookies, breads and candies are gone. Cookies will be $7 per pound. Candy and breads priced separately.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Iron River holds its annual Cookie, Craft and Lefse Sale 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in the church’s Fellowship Hall. An assortment of Christmas cookies is available by the pound, and fresh-made lefse is sold by the package.

St. Michael’s Altar & Rosary Society holds its annual Christmas Cookie Walk and raffle fundraiser 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in the St. Michael Parish Hall, 68105 S. George St., Iron River. Christmas cookies sold by the pound, and a raffle and light lunch are included. Call (715) 372-4756.

Bake Sale/Bazaar

Zion Lutheran Church hosts its 15th annual Homemade Bake Sale/Bazaar at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, 2022 E. Second St.

Lutefisk dinner

Lutefisk-Meatball Dinner sponsored by First Lutheran Church runs 4-7 p.m. Saturday at the Port Wing Town Hall. Adults are $12 with lutefisk; $8 with meatballs; children younger than 12, $6.

Chancellors Quartet

Enjoy the music of the season presented by the Southern gospel music group “The Chancellors Quartet” at 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Bayside Baptist Church, 3915 N. 16th St. A freewill offering is taken. Call (715) 394-6002 or visit www.baysidesuperior.org.

Christmas concert

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Cloquet hosts its annual Christmas Concert 7-8:30 p.m. today with pianist/vocalist Tom Cawcutt. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students with children ages 12 and younger free. Tickets sold at the door, which opens at 6 pm.

Tea, service

The annual Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols, and Santa Lucia Vesper Tea begins at 4 p.m. Sunday at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 820 Belknap St. This traditional service of music and scripture marks the transition between Advent and Christmas, and celebrates our Scandinavian heritage with the Vesper Tea. A free will offering is taken.

Lutheran support

Lutherans for Life, a support group for Lutherans from various community churches that believe in and advocate for the sanctity of life, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Christ Lutheran Church, 2415 Ensign Street, in the Piedmont area of Duluth.
