The Superior High School girls hockey team lost 4-0 at Hayward Tuesday night.
Holly Turnbull scored twice, Aly Tremblay and Cheyenne Turnbull each scored once and Noel Weber made 14 saves for the Hurricanes.
Hayward dominated in the first period, scoring three goals and outshooting Superior 15-1.
Spartan goaltender Makayla Pitt got better as the game went on, stopping all nine shots in the second period and 25-of-26 in the third. She finished with 46 saves.
The Spartans play at 7 p.m. Thursday at Silver Bay.
