Grandmothers seek peaceful toys for tots
The Northland Chapter of Grandmothers for Peace started its 26th peaceful toy drive Nov. 18. Toys are accepted until Dec. 16.
The Northland Chapter of Grandmothers for Peace started its 26th peaceful toy drive Nov. 18. Toys are accepted until Dec. 16.
Decorated boxes will be available at local businesses and organizations for donations of unwrapped toys that promote nonviolent play. Participating locations include Cathedral of Christ the King Church, Superior Public Library Children’s Room, Take 2 Consignments, Superior-Douglas County YMCA and Superior High School FBLA in Superior, and the UMD Women’s Resource and Action Center, Explorations, Building for Women and DeWitt-Seitz Building in Duluth.
Toys are donated to the Loaves and Fishes community, CASDA, Safe Haven and Daboo’igan.
