Superior: The new Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve encompasses more than 16,000 acres along the St. Louis River designated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to promote research, stewardship and education. Join the celebration of the one-year anniversary of the designation 3-6 p.m. at the Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve Open House, the former Boathouse Restaurant, 14 Marina Drive.
