SCANLON, Minn. (AP) — The bed in one Minnesota family's guest room wasn't too hard or too soft. For this drunken teen, it was just right.
Cloquet police say the 18-year-old wandered into the home on Halloween, took off his shoes and fell asleep. The family found him the next morning.
A Duluth News Tribune report says the doors had been locked and the family doesn't know how he got in.
They called police, who roused the teen. Police Chief Wade Lamirande says the teen was disrespectful to the officers, probably because he was confused about where he was.
Lamirande says the teen's blood-alcohol level was 0.125 percent, above the legal limit for driving. Police took him to a detox center to sober up.
He was charged with misdemeanor consumption by a minor.
