Haines Road closes for culvert replacement

The St. Louis County Public Works Department will be closing Haines Road south of Morris Thomas Road to replace a culvert. County officials noted the culvert will be replaced as a preventative maintenance measure to protect the road. Haines Road serves approximately 6,000 vehicles per day. Traffic will be detoured at the intersections of Haines Road and Morris Thomas Road, and Grand Avenue and 40th Avenue West. The detour route will use Morris Thomas Road, Piedmont Avenue, and West 3rd Street/Grand Avenue. Portable message signs were deployed at Morris Thomas Road and West Skyline Parkway beginning Monday.
Haines Road will be closed Wednesday and Thursday. St. Louis County regrets the inconvenience to area residents and others who regularly use this route, and ask that the motoring public follow the posted detour.
