Senior moments

Hawthorne Assembly of God’s Senior Moments meets at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Gerry and Shirley Petite’s home. Everyone 55 and older is welcome for a potluck supper and fellowship. Call Shirley at (715) 399-2759.

Asbury pantry

Asbury United Methodist Church, 6822 Grand Ave., across from the Duluth Zoo holds the Asbury Pantry 9-11 a.m. Saturday in the Fellowship Hall. Come try our homemade apple pies, donuts, jellies and jams, baked bars and cookies and a variety of homemade treats and knitted treasures.

Fall fling

United Presbyterian Church, 229 N. 28th St. E., Superior, hosts its Fall Fling Bazaar 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Items include crafts, plants, gift baskets, knit/crochet items, next-to-new, home-made canned goods, bakery, lead crystal items, Halloween and Christmas items. Lunch consisting of soups, chili, pie and a beverage is served 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free.

Harvest supper

Darrow Road Wesleyan Church hosts a Harvest Supper 4-7 p.m. Saturday at the church, 4020 S. Darrow Road. The menu includes ham, mashed potatoes, rutabagas, green beans, desserts and beverage. A free will offering will be taken.

Famous meatballs

Asbury United Methodist Church, 6822 Grand Ave., holds its meatball supper 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall. Adults are $9, children 5-12 years are $5, and children 4 and under are free. Takeout orders available.
