MILWAUKEE (AP) — A 45-year-old Milwaukee man who allegedly sold heroin to a man who died after taking the drug has been charged.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported the charges Sunday. According to online court records, Timothy Leroy Reddick was charged last month with possession with intent to sell heroin.
A criminal complaint says he delivered heroin to Erik Anderson-Yakowicz of Mequon on Aug. 25, the day Anderson-Yakowicz died.
Officers found oxycodone pills and heroin in Reddick's car. He allegedly told police his arrest was a blessing because if someone would've taken the drug and died, he'd be facing homicide charges. Reddick didn't know about Anderson-Yakowicz's death at the time.
Reddick is in custody. Online records did not list an attorney for him. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
