MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee property where serial killer Jeffery Dahmer used to live is being sold.
The north side lot used to house the Oxford Apartments, where Dahmer was arrested 20 years ago. The building has been razed and the lot is empty.
Alderman voted in February to transfer the deed to Ogden Homes.
Department of City Development spokesman Jeff Fleming says the city attorney is revising the deed language so it hasn't been transferred. Fleming says the lot is to be converted to green space.
Susan Fellows, a vice president at Ogden & Company Inc., didn't immediately comment Friday on their plans.
Milwaukee County Supervisor Eyon Biddle says the families of some victims want a memorial there, which has received mixed reactions.
