This fun-filled event offers little engineers and their families the opportunity to take a ride with a 15-ton replica of Thomas the Tank Engine, star of the popular Thomas & Friends™ series.
Enjoy about a 25-minute ride with Thomas the Tank Engine and an opportunity to meet Sir Topham Hatt, controller of the railway. It includes activities for the whole family, including arts and crafts, storytelling, video viewing, live music and more. Commemorative activities, merchandise and giveaways focusing on steam engines and diesel engines to celebrate the 2011 Thomas & Friends DVD movie “Day of the Diesels.”
Catch a ride between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 5-7 and Aug. 12-14. Trains depart hourly from the North Shore Scenic Railroad, 506 W. Michigan St.
