Ivan Ronning and Gene Rochon teamed up for a 54 to win the blind partner event of the Bushwhacker League at the Poplar Golf Course. Willie Erickson-Dan Schraufnagel and Phil Gustafson-Dave Larson were runner-ups at 56. (1979)

Bill Johnson, the men’s city golf champion, scored a hole-in-one on the 153-yard, par-3 10th hole at the Nemadji Golf Course with a 9-iorn. He was playing with Mark Prochazka, Phil Stearns and Derek VanDamme. (1987)
