Blessing of the Bikes at Hawthorne Assembly of God Church (6366 S County Road E begins at 10:30 a.m. with a lunch and bike ride to follow. All are welcome. Call (715) 374-3444.
Bible schools
Children enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to an action-packed week of music, Bible lessons, games, crafts and new friends during vacation Bible school beginning Monday at Bayside Baptist Church, 3915 N. 16th St. The theme is “Camping Out For Christ — This World is Not Our Home, We Are Just Camping Through.” The sessions run 5:30-8 p.m. Monday through Friday. Hope Congregational Church, 1827 Wyoming Ave., hosts a vacation Bible school 5:30-7:30 p.m. June 20-24. The theme is “Dare to be a Daniel.” There will be songs, Bible stories, a contest and treats. Frank and Linda Distad, missionaries with the American Missionary Fellowship, will be speakers. All kids in grades kindergarten through seventh are invited to come. Sports camp
North Bay Community Church, 1316 E. Fifth St., hosts Sports Camp 2011 for kids in first through fifth grades. Youth have the chance to learn basic skills, rules and teamwork in either soccer or basketball. Dance is offered for the girls only. The camps run 9:30 a.m. to noon June 20-24. The cost for participate is a $5 donation per child or $15 donation for families. Register at www.northbaychurch.org.
