MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Five people were arrested at the state Capitol Monday as the Supreme Court heard arguments over whether a bill taking away collective bargaining rights legally passed the Legislature.

Capitol Police Chief Charles Tubbs says four people were arrested for disorderly conduct after they tried to enter the building without stopping for police clearance through metal detectors. He says a fifth person was arrested for trying to prop open a door presumably so others could enter later to avoid police.

Madison police report two people were cited for disorderly conduct and three for obstructing a roadway.

No issues have been reported in the Supreme Court chamber where the arguments were going on. Passage of the bill at issue attracted tens of thousands of people to the Capitol in February and March.
