Park crews begin a sidewalk edging project this week along the East Second Street corridor.
The project is part of Mayor Bruce Hagen’s plans to improve the community’s image, said Parks and Recreation Administrator Mary Morgan.
The Parks and Recreation Division acquired a landscaping edger and staff will use it to create a crisp edge between the sidewalk and turn along the waterfront corridor. Waste will be removed and sidewalks will be washed using the Park’s Division tanker truck.
Any property owner or resident along this route who prefers not to have their sidewalk edged can call Morgan at (715) 395-7279.
“If citizens prefer not to have this service, we will honor their wishes,” she said.
