A Lake Nebagamon man was featured in the January-February issue of “Creativescreenwriting.”
Dale Botten was featured for his award-winning screenplay “Alamo-Duluth: Anatomy of a Lynching.” Botten was the 2010 Expo Grand Prize winner. The screenplay casts light on a dark piece of Duluth’s history when three black circus workers were lynched by a mob after unsubstantiated rumors spread that six African-American had raped a teenage girl.
The screenplay was inspired by Michael Fedo’s book “The Lynching in Duluth.”
