Jacob Noonan, Mason Ford and George Eisenmann led the Superior High School boys swim team to a fifth place finish at the Eau Claire Husky Invitational over the weekend.
Noonan was second in the 200 freestyle and fourth in the 500 free, Ford placed third in the 50 free and forth in the 100, and George Eisenmann finished second just behind Noonan in the 200 and fifth just after Ford in the 100.
Scott Kvam joined Noonan, Ford and Eisenmann to finish a strong second in the sprint 200 free relay. Ian Walker swam a leg of the 400 freestyle relay with the same three to take fourth.
The Spartans were without freshman Andrew Eisenmann, who is out for the season with a broken collarbone.
On Thursday, Superior won six of 12 events but fell to Grand Rapids 108-78 at Rapids.
Noonan and Ford were both four time winners. Noonan won the 200 and 500 freestyle, while Ford won the 50 and 100 freestyle. Both were on the winning 200 and 400 freestyle relays along with George Eisenmann and Kvam on the 200 and Ian Walker on the 400. Walker completed a 1-2 sweep taking second behind Noonan in the 500 freestyle.
