Jake Noonan, George Eisenmann and Mason Ford swept the 100 freestyle to put the Spartans ahead for good on their way to a 102-83 win over Menomonie Tuesday evening at the SHS pool.
Ford and Andrew Eisenmann placed 1-2 in the 50 free, while Noonan and George Eisenmann took first and second in the 200 free.
Senior captains Scott Kvam and Joey Bowser swam to firsts in the 100 backstroke and breaststroke, respectively, to help cement the team victory.
Luke Breimon joined Ford, Noonan and George Eisenmann on the winning 200 free relay, while Andrew Eisenmann teamed up with the same trio to win the 400 free relay.
The Spartans had some pleasant surprises from boys swimming out of their usual events. Sprinters, and cousins, George and Andrew Eisenmann, swam competitive times in distance races and Noonan, a distance ace, tried his hand at sprinting and won.
