FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) — A Milwaukee police sergeant is due in court next month on charges that he drove drunk with his teenage daughter in the vehicle.
Forty-year-old John P. Corbett is free on a $500 signature bond. He's due back in court Jan. 11.
Corbett is charged with operating while intoxicated and refusing to take an intoxication test following his Nov. 21 arrest. A message left with his attorney Friday was not immediately returned.
The 13-year-old girl told authorities her group had gone deer hunting and then to a tavern. She said she'd been driving but got lost so she woke up her father to take the wheel.
According to The Reporter in Fond du Lac, a preliminary breath test found Corbett's blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.
