Authorities attribute 5 weekend deaths to storm

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Authorities attribute at least five deaths in Wisconsin to the weekend snowstorm.

In central Wisconsin, a 37-year-old man died when his vehicle became stranded and he tried to walk home in the cold early Sunday.

In western Wisconsin, 58-year-old Kenneth Swanson of rural River Falls was killed when a metal shed collapsed from the heavy snow, pinning him under about 3 feet of snow.

An Eau Claire woman, 19-year-old Shenea Mueller, died after a two-vehicle crash on snow-covered roads in west-central Wisconsin.

On Saturday, 79-year-old Clifford Larson was blowing snow at the end of his driveway in Woodville when he was struck and killed by a snowplow.

In southern Wisconsin, Alejandria Abaunza died when the SUV in which she was a passenger, slipped off Interstate 39 and struck several trees.
