Boy, 7, killed in Wisconsin snowmobile crash

TOWN OF POLK, Wis. (AP) — A 7-year-old boy who was riding a snowmobile in southeastern Wisconsin has died after the sled spun out of control and flipped several times.

Washington County authorities say the boy was riding the snowmobile with an adult Saturday about noon in a neighbor's backyard. The driver lost control and the snowmobile flipped.

The boy and adult were both injured and taken to a hospital. The boy was pronounced dead there. The adult's injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

Authorities say neither person was wearing a helmet. They say speed was a likely factor in the crash.

The names of the boy and adult have not been released.
