I have read the letter from Mr. Anderson in Menomonie about the football game on Friday.I was a witness to this exceptional action by both teams on the field. The Menomonie coaching staff and the players also are an example of what grand character is still out in our society today (it’s hard to find).
Sitting in the stands and being able to witness such a action not only brought tears to my eyes, it warmed my heart as I am a mother of a special needs boy.The Superior coaching staff and players have taken my son and welcomed him on to the Superior football team as one of their own. The coaching staff is not only coaching these boys in the skill of football; they are also coaching them in the more important things is life like empathy for others. They all need to know not only have they made a huge difference in my son’s life, but they had made a difference in our family’s life.
My hats off to all the coaches and players I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done for a special child. I extend my sincere appreciation to both coaching staff and players. You’re all winners on my scoreboard.
Theresa M. Lundgren,
Superior
