The 12th annual "Cause for the Paws" 5K was held on the Osaugie Trail in Superior on Saturday.

All proceeds benefit the homeless animals cared for by the Humane Society of Douglas County in South Range, just off Highway Z.

With 136 people registered and about 107 dogs in attendance, it was the biggest and best yet walk/run. From tiny Chihuahua's to massive Mastiff's, the canine line up was fully represented.

The annual raffle drawing was held after the walk/run so people stayed to mingle, see if they had a lucky ticket, and enjoyed some food provided.

It was a great opportunity to have a fun morning with your dog, get some exercise, and meet new friends -- both canine and human.
