Wisconsin DOJ to host murder memorial day ceremony

The state Justice Department is planning its third annual observance of a murder victim memorial day.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Justice Department is planning its third annual observance of a murder victim memorial day.

The agency will hold a ceremony at Watertown High School on Sept. 23 to recognize the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. Congress established the day at the request of the National Organization of Parents of Murdered Children.

Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen is scheduled to speak at the ceremony.
