Lena man, 24, killed when ATV collides with van

BREED, Wis. (AP) — The Oconto County Sheriff's Department says a 24-year-old man from Lena is dead after an accident where his all-terrain vehicle collided with a van.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports the crash happened just before 8 p.m. Saturday evening at an intersection in the town of Breed. Authorities say the ATV driver was pronounced dead at a local hospital where he was taken after the crash. He was wearing a helmet and eye protection.

The sheriff's department has not released the man's name. The incident is under investigation and authorities say the speed of the ATV is a likely factor.
