United Way tournament postponed

Eight teams planning to go to bat for the United Way today are on hold until Sept. 24.

Eight teams planning to go to bat for the United Way today are on hold until Sept. 24.

The softball tournament to support the United Way of Superior-Douglas County has been postponed because of today’s rain.

The roster for the first ever “Go to Bat for United Way Softball Tournament” includes high school students, beauticians, accountants and bartenders. While the United Way launched the annual tournament last year, the event was canceled because of weather last year too.
