Neighbors, friends and the inquisitive are invited to 10:30 a.m. Sunday praise and worship at Our Redeemer’s Free Lutheran Church and the following Friendship Meal at 2125 Missouri Ave., Superior. Pastor S. Jerome Elness’ message will be “Big Problems When Your God Is Too Small.” Dan Proffit leads a Bible adventure study in the Book of Numbers at 9:30 a.m. There is excess parking, a cry room and nursery facilities available.
One and only
Zion Lutheran Church will hold only one service at 10 a.m. Sunday. Weather permitting, the service will be held on the lawn. All Zion members and friends in the community are invited to attend.
Hear by Faith
The Hermantown musical group “Hear By Faith” is featured at the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday at First Evangelical Covenant Church, 3311 Hammond Ave. The public is invited. A freewill offering will be taken.
Bible school
Set sail for Vacation Bible School fun 5:30-8 p.m. Monday-Friday at North Bay Community Church, 1316 E. Fifth St., (715) 398-6308. This “High Seas Expedition” is for all kids entering kindergarten through fifth grades. Music, games, crafts, snacks, fun.
Corn roast
“Tonight’s the Night” is the theme for this year’s corn roast at Bayside Baptist Church. The free event runs 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at 3915 N. 16th St. People of all ages are invited to come enjoy fun activities, great entertainment and good food. Open house
Lake Superior Lutheran Preschool holds an open house 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday. The preschool is at 4219 Grand Ave., Duluth.
