No. 2 seed Grumpy’s II scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning for a 9-7 victory over No. 1 seed Rapids Riverside to win the 2010 Douglas County Mixed Doubles softball tournament held June 7-8 at Middle River Tavern.
Log Cabin finished third while No. 3 seed Middle River I finished fourth.
Members of the winning Grumpy’s team are Mike Azuma, Jon Becker, Dan Botten, Justin Gotelaere, Justin Johnson, Tony LaValley, Ashley Martin, Pam O’Neill, Lois Papenfuss, Chrystal Schubitzke, Sarah Smith and Michelle Swanson.
